What time does the event start?

The Gala begins at 6:00 PM with our silent auction and cocktails, followed by a seated dinner and live auction, then dancing. The event will end at 11:00 PM.

How do I purchase tickets?

You can purchase tickets for the Gala, Mobile Bidding, Tag Day Pack, Wristbands, Drink Tickets, and the Bead Contest by clicking HERE! 

What is Mobile Bidding?

Mobile Bidding allows people who do not attend the gala to bid on silent auction items. Friends and family can bid from anywhere by simply purchasing a mobile bidding ticket!

What is the Monarch of Mardi Gras Bead Contest?

Who will be crowned the King or Queen of Saint Mary’s Mardi Gras Gala? Individual or Bundles of Beads can be purchased to play Heads or Tails for your chance to win a grand prize and be crowned the Monarch of Mardi Gras! Each strand of beads counts as an extra life, so the more you purchase, the better your chances of winning!

What is a Gala Tag Day Pack?

A well-loved SMCS tradition sold at Gala every year! The Gala Tag Day Pack will give your student a tag on each Thursday in March of 2025, where they will be able to dress in tag day attire and get a break from their uniform! Even if you do not plan on attending gala, this is worth checking out for your students! Purchase HERE.

What do I wear to a Mardi Gras Gala?

Mardi Gras galas are about FUN! If you want to dress for the theme, you can opt for something colorful or sparkly! We just ask that you wear cocktail, semi-formal, or formal attire. No jeans or shorts, please.  Check out this LINK for ideas! 

What should I expect?

Laissez les bon temps rouler - Let the good times roll! You will ascend the stairs or ride the elevator to the second floor, where you will be greeted by the sights and sounds of carnival!  You will have an opportunity to look at silent auction items while you mingle with friends. Then, we will move on to a seated dinner and live auction. We will end the evening with dancing and a Second Line!

What is a Beverage Wristband?

The wristband allows you unlimited non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages without the hassle of having to purchase individual drink tickets throughout the entire night. The wristband is intended for use by one adult only, not for sharing. Bartenders, administrators, and members of the PTO reserve the right to cut off any individual who may have exceeded their tolerance. We all want to have fun, so please drink responsibly!

What if I do not want to purchase a wristband?

No problem! Individual drink tickets are available to purchase along with your event ticket, and will be available for purchase at the door.  

Can I invite my friends?

Yes, we would love to have them join us! Gala is open to anyone 21 years of age and up. Please feel free to invite family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy the Mardi Gras festivities! And if they can't attend, be sure to tell them about mobile bidding!
